Philosophy
Maja and Asdru’s shared love for nature brought them to this breathtaking corner of the Caribbean jungle, surrounded by crystal-clear cenotes, lush jungle, and just 6km from some of the most pristine beaches on Earth. Nestled in Chemuyil, Casa Arkaana offers a peaceful sanctuary between the vibrant energy of Tulum and Playa del Carmen, inviting guests to unplug, realign, and restore in the heart of the Mayan jungle.
Our off-grid eco retreat center is fully powered by solar energy, and we draw fresh water from our well. Rooted in permaculture and regenerative living, we cultivate clean, vibrant food through an edible garden, orchard, chicken coop, vermiculture, and soil-building practices. We work closely with the land and its microorganisms, honoring a deeper connection to the Earth.
Our vision is to create a space that supports deep healing, conscious connection, and sustainable transformation for both our guests and the planet.
Maja shares her heart through the deeply healing practice of yoga, with training in Hatha, Iyengar, Vinyasa, and Prenatal yoga, along with other holistic modalities.
Asdru is a passionate permaculture designer, devoted to working in harmony with nature and building living systems that serve future generations.
Together, we walk a path of self-inquiry, community care, and slow, intentional living, with the hope of embodying authenticity and wholeheartedness in all we do.
✨ Thank you for supporting our dream of a more connected, sustainable, and harmonious world.
We look forward to welcoming you into this sacred corner of the jungle that we’re honored to call home. ⚘

“Heal, empower and reconnect with your own nature.”
